THE COMPLETE FACE: Dermal Filler Certification (8 CEs)
MSDA Office
THE COMPLETE FACE: Dermal Filler & Live Patient Training Certification Course (8 CEs) **IN PERSON*
Dermal filler isn’t beginner material simply because someone calls it a beginner course. FACES Education’s Dermal Filler training is designed to give injectors the clinical foundation they actually need: facial evaluation, proportion, anatomy, patient selection, product selection, safety protocols, and adverse event prevention and management. Ethical filler training means teaching the techniques, standards, and safety principles the field demands — not a stripped-down version of them. Most foundational programs don’t include blunt-end cannula training, offering it instead as a separate upsell. FACES Education includes both needle and cannula techniques in all filler courses, teaching you when, where, and how to use a cannula as part of vascular occlusion risk reduction as well as enhancing patient comfort. You’ll leave the program prepared to perform a thorough facial evaluation, select the right product for the treatment you’re rendering, avoid and recognize adverse events, manage complications using current protocols, and start your filler practice with safe, sound clinical judgment.
At the completion of training, the participant should be able to:
- Identify facial concerns appropriate for dermal filler treatment
- Conduct a thorough patient consultation to evaluate candidacy and treatment suitability
- Identify danger zones and clinically relevant neurovascular anatomy
- Avoid, recognize, and manage adverse events including vascular occlusion
Presenter: Gigi Meinecke, RN, DMD, FAGD

DERMAL FILLER REFRESHER COURSE (4 CEs) **IN PERSON**
MSDA Office
ATTENTION: THIS IS NOT A CERTIFICATION COURSE. THIS REFRESHER COURSE IS APPROPRIATE FOR PRACTITIONERS WITH PRIOR DERMAL
In the field of dermal fillers, standing still is falling behind. New products enter the market. Placement protocols get refined. Adverse event management standards evolve — and if you’re not current on those and a complication arises, that’s not just a clinical problem. It’s potentially a legal one. This half-day didactic refresher is designed for injectors who want to stay at the leading edge in a field that doesn’t slow down. The curriculum mirrors the rigorous, evidence-based content taught in the FACES Education dermal filler certification course. A program that’s updated weekly as new evidence is published —not frozen in time in a video module.
At the conclusion of this course the attendee should be able to:
- Describe the characteristics of hyaluronic acid fillers and how they affect duration
- Outline the current available HA dermal fillers and their clinical applications
- Give examples of facial anatomical danger zones and possible adverse events
- Describe how hyaluronidase is used and the current protocol for vascular occlusion
Presenter: Gigi Meinecke, RN, DMD, FAGD
REQUIRED: To be eligible to enroll, you should have completed at least 6 hours of a hands-on foundational dermal filler course and 1 year of injection experience. This refresher course only covers theory and anatomy and does not include a hands-on treatment component. This is not a certification course.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Participants must provide proof of completion of a minimum of 6 hours of a hands-on dermal filler course. (CE certificate or Authentic wall certificate supplied by educator which shows dates and CE hours earned).
