BOTOX REFRESHER COURSE (4 CEs) **IN-PERSON**
ATTENTION: THIS IS NOT A CERTIFICATION COURSE.Â
Your injection skills probably aren’t the problem. But your knowledge base might be. If you’ve been injecting for two years without a refresher, you’re working with a two-year-old curriculum — in a field that’s moved on. Techniques evolve. Protocols get refined. FDA approvals change. And the community standard looks different than it did when you were trained. This half-day didactic refresher is designed for practicing injectors who want to stay current — not just in their technique, but in the clinical knowledge that informs every treatment decision they make. The curriculum mirrors the rigorous, literature-based content taught in the FACES Education full-day certification course, updated continuously as new evidence is published. No hands-on component. Just a focused, efficient update for the practicing injector who takes their clinical standards seriously.
At the conclusion of this course the attendee should be able to:
- Discuss the mechanism of action of current FDA approved neurotoxins
- Â Identify dosing recommendations for cosmetic and therapeutic indications
- Estimate dosing ranges for facial expression muscles and TMJ
- Describe proper storage, handling, and reconstitution of neurotoxins
Presenter: Gigi Meinecke, RN, DMD, FAGD
