Speech and Inclusive Communication – Subtle Acts of Exclusion (2 CE)

Dr. Baran will present the reconceptualization of microaggressions from his new coauthored book, Subtle Acts of Exclusion: How to Understand, Identify, and Stop Microaggressions. This topic is of critical importance, as so many are becoming aware of the subtle ways that people are excluded in these interactions and the way that SAE perpetuate patterns of thinking and unconscious biases by which people of marginalized identities are consistently excluded. This new innovative framework will provide a new way forward – for all to conceptualize their work.
