Tammy Conary
Director of Finance & Operations
Tammy oversees the finances of the association and maintains the annual budget. Tammy is also the MSDA’s Human Resources contact.

Raegen Shird
Administrative Assistant
Raegen welcomes visitors in the MSDA building as well as directs phone calls. She provides administrative support to staff and volunteers and collects data for peer review complaints.

Member Engagement
Laurie Oertel
Director of Membership
Laurie supports membership in the areas of new members, member dues payments, retirement affidavits, and dues waivers. She also liaisons with the American Dental Association on membership information and data management. She is often the first point of contact for all new members of MSDA and works closely with dental student conversion once they graduate.

Sarah Beckmann
Director of Education & MSDA Member Perks (DAC)
Sarah manages the educational courses at the MSDA. She is responsible for registering participants of these programs, as well as the attendees of the Chesapeake Dental Conference. Sarah oversees registration onsite at the Chesapeake Dental Conference as well. She also manages events held by outside organizations who contract MSDA space.

Raquel Rodriguez
Member Engagement Coordinator
Raquel serves as MSDA’s Member Engagement Coordinator. In this role, she supports all of our members including recruitment, retention, and member inquiries. Raquel works closely with the MSDA’s New Dentist Committee and the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and ASDA Chapter. Raquel is one of the MSDA’s front-line concierges, to assist our members in navigating all of their member benefits.

MSDA Foundation Program Director
As the Development Director, Shavon works with the Outreach Director to develop strategies for fundraising and maintaining corporate sponsorships, as well as fostering and maintaining relationships with the Foundation donors.
